This is the pure definition of "bait and switch!" I got an offer online from KBB who send me here saying that the company was interested in buying it for a specific price. After the car was inspected, we were offered 5 GRAND LESS than the online written offer. To make matters worse, the guy LIED to us about the car...stupid obvious lies...maybe he didn't think I knew because I am a woman and assumed I knew nothing about cars or the market???I don't know. Anyway, he said that it had been in a wreck, and I shared that it hadn't and CarFax backed me up with that. He also tried to say it had 4 owners, again thanks to CarFax, proved it had two. He tried to tell me that the options that the car had didn't affect the price, when it most certainly does. He also said the offer was based off of prices a year ago, when I got that offer through KBB that very same day. (I'm pretty sure KBB knows what they are doing!) Despite this, he wouldn't budge in price so I took it down the road and got it sold within a half an hour to Audi for a grand less (not five!) than what I was asking.
